Liberated by Love

Born free

Browbeaten into submission

She vowed never to

Let another capture

Her freedom again.

Broken hearted

With a wilted trust

She vowed never to

Let another capture

Her feelings again.

Plastering a smile and

Mastering her poise

She vowed

To be her own saviour.

Healing her scars

And fuelling her resolve

He stood beside her undaunted

So she finally vowed

To Tether her life

To the man who freed her soul.
